The Finisar Germany GmbH, a Coherent subsidiary serves multiple businesses within Coherent. We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Development Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on test system architecture and optimization for coherent products, leading technical test projects for product development, and supporting both R&D and production teams.
- Develop and optimize test system architectures for coherent products
- Lead test development for product development projects, defining and implementing effective test strategies that optimize performance and efficiency
- Define technical specifications for software development supporting automated testing
- Review and enhance existing calibration and test concepts to improve performance and cost efficiency
- Support and drive failure analysis of optoelectronic devices related to test issues
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
- Several years of experience in test development, measurement techniques, and successfully transitioning testing solutions from development to production
- Extensive expertise in coherent optical test methodologies, including performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in designing electrical test boards is an advantage
- Experience with RF design for RF-optimized PCBs and RF test is a plus
- Software development is a plus
- Very good English communication skills; German language proficiency is a plus
